Seven time winner Louis Armstrong is back on the tracks at the Tour de France and is attempting to win another title. The betting action is on and Armstrong is up against three other cyclists.
At present Armstrong is at 11/1 to win the tour once again followed by Spain’s reigning Champion Alberto Contador at 1/2. Andy Schleck of Luxembourg is at 5/1 and Cadel Evans the Australian cyclist is at 9/1.
Among all the hot competition of who will win the title, the other interests for bettors include who will win the various categories such as the sprint and the mountain stages as well as the team and individual categories.
The competition runs across 23 days of which cyclist will have to ride for 20 individual days. The longest cycling day of the Tour covers 227 km from Montargis to Gueugnon in eastern France.
The Tour is on from July 3 to 25 and has a tradition of ending at the Champs Elysees in Paris. Fans and gamblers are eagerly awaiting the results of this grueling and most exciting sports tournament.
